A fantastic opportunity to work within a multi academy trust, you will be working in one of the Primary schools where students have a diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Conditions (ASC) and SEND. The children need support staff who can bring a nurturing nature, someone with a sense of humour, who’s really good at listening and understands that our learning journeys are a bit different.
Key duties:
- Participate in activities designed to meet the emotional, physical and learning needs of individual children and groups of children, including those with SEND
- Contribute to the monitoring and delivery of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP)
- Monitor CYP’s responses to learning activities and encourage them to take an interest in their own learning
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with individual CYP and groups to ensure that they achieve learning targets
Your Experience
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills, relevant to the post NVQ 2 or willingness to undertake NVQ 2
- EYFS/Primary training and/or experience
- Experience of working with SEND children
- Good behaviour management skills
- Relevant experience of supporting children with emotional, physical or learning needs
- At least 6 months of UK classroom experience
Commencing in September 2024, you will be working full time between the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only.
