A Primary School in North Somerset is currently looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who can support a year 3 child on a 1:1 basis.

The Role 


 

The successful candidate will be working throughout the Year 3 class in the school working closely with a child with SEMH needs. You will be working on a 1:1 basis inside and outside the classroom. 


 

The Class Teacher is looking for someone who is patient, caring and empathetic, so that the student will feel safe in their company. 


 

You will be expected to: 

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop activities. 
  • Have high expectations for the individual to succeed. 
  • Create a safe environment 
  • Manage the children’s needs through adapting activities and environments for the pupil to work successfully. . 
  • Communicate effectively with families and the SENCO
