Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Plymouth, Devon
Contract: Full-time
Requirements:
- Experience working with students with SEN
- Understanding of different SEN needs and strategies for support
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other support staff
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behavior plans
- Support students with their academic, social, and emotional development
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to meet the individual needs of students
