Long-Term Teachers are excited to be partnering with a highly respected specialist education provider in the South West, offering an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join their team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
This unique setting provides tailored education and care for deaf students aged 5 to 25, many of whom have additional and complex needs. The school fosters a vibrant, bilingual environment where British Sign Language (BSL) and English are integrated into everyday teaching and learning.

The Role:
In this rewarding role, you will:
- Plan and deliver personalised learning sequences adapting content to suit individual needs
- Teach below the national curriculum level, using a flexible, enriched and bespoke approach
- Create an inclusive, engaging classroom environment that supports both learning and personal development
- Collaborate with colleagues, therapists and external professionals to support holistic outcomes for students
- Contribute positively to whole-school culture and raise standards of achievement and behaviour
Ideal Candidate:
We’re looking for someone with:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience supporting learners with complex needs, ideally including sensory impairments or communication difficulties
- A strong background in planning and delivering differentiated learning
- A positive and collaborative attitude with a commitment to professional growth
- A willingness to learn British Sign Language
