Specialist Teacher

Do you have a passion for education? Are you an experienced teacher or a graduate looking for your next role within a mainstream or specialist school for September?
Long Term Teachers work with a variety of SEN schools, primary and secondary in and around Bristol, who are looking for flexible supply teachers. We predominantly support with permanent positions, however also offer supply based work, if you are looking for flexibility.
Your main duties will include:
- Managing the classroom
- Planning and delivering lessons that are accessible for students individual needs
- Leading 1:1 and small group interventions
- Supporting students of all abilities, including those with SEN
- Report writing and liaising with SLT on students progress
About you:
- Qualified Teacher Status
- Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND
- Knowledge of special education practices and strategies
- Ability to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and understanding when working with students with diverse learning needs
- Strong organizational skills to assist with lesson planning and classroom management
- Strong knowledge of safeguarding guidelines
