A wonderful Primary School in Portishead is currently looking for a caring Teaching Assistant who can support a Class Teacher in a Year 1 class.
This school aims to provide a happy, stimulating, and supportive climate in order for their children to achieve their maximum potential.
This position is to start from September where you will be working collaboratively with the Teacher to work 1 to 1 with children and in a group setting to support learning and interventions.
The Role
As a successful candidate, you will be expected to work on a part-time basis (3 days a week) throughout their Year 1 class.
Communication is key for this role. You will need to work collaboratively with the Teacher to support individual children with core subjects.
You will be expected to:
- Use your initiative to adapt activities to meet the needs of the children.
- Have high expectations for the individual to succeed.
- Create a safe environment for the pupil to learn at their own pace.
- Manage and support the child’s needs.
- Be adaptable with the learning opportunities.
