A wonderful Primary School in the BS22 area of Weston Supermare is currently looking for a caring Teaching Assistant who can support a pupil in their Nursery class.


 

This school aims to provide a happy, stimulating, and supportive climate in order for their children to achieve their maximum potential. 


 

The Role 


 

As a successful candidate, you will be expected to work on a part-time basis, working afternoons only. 

Communication is key for this role. You will need to work collaboratively with the Teacher to support a pupil in the Nursery class who has ASD needs. 


 

This pupil is super intellectual but is really quiet and enjoys concentrating on his work outside of the classroom setting. 


 

You will be expected to: 

  • Use your initiative to adapt activities to meet the needs of the child.
  • Have high expectations for the individual to succeed. 
  • Create a safe environment for the pupil to learn at their own pace. 
  • Manage and support the child’s needs. 
  • Be adaptable with the learning opportunities.
