An fantastic opportunity for an experienced Learning Support Assistant in a fantastic secondary school based in BA14.
To be considered for this role you must have experience working with children with special needs, an added bonus would be to have relevant qualifications. It is desirable you have knowledge of needs including ASD, ADHD and SEMH (Social, Emotional Mental Health).
The Role
The teaching staff at this school work as a team to support children not just with their learning but developing and growing as individuals. Your predominant duties will include offering 1:1 support as well interventions outside the main classroom. You must be able to handle situations calmly, bringing a positive, patient attitude to the environment. You will not be expected to plan or mark, but offering creative enthusiasm to lessons is vital!
