Long Term Teachers is on hunt for an experienced Teaching Assistant holding a Level 3 TA Qualification to join our team and help in Secondary schools in Bristol. We offer flexible placements and can work around your schedule.
This role will suit a confident, resilient person who enjoys working with teenagers. You will be stepping into schools and supporting the teaching staff through working 1 on 1 with students in need of intervention and extra attention. You will be supporting students in lessons, ensuring good behaviour, helping them stay on track with their learning, limit distractions and encourage them to stay motivated. When a pupil stays in class all lesson, engages with work they’d normally avoid, or simply builds trust with you. Those moments are where the role feels worthwhile.
Your compassion, empathy and patience will be your biggest strengths within this role. Leaning into a soft and understanding yet confident approach will be necessary. We need somebody who is not fazed by a challenge. If you see opportunity where others see difficulty this is the role for you!
