We are recruiting for an Unqualified SEN Teacher to join a specialist independent school near Taunton. This school provides tailored education for students with SEND, offering a high staff-to-student ratio and a nurturing learning environment. You’ll receive full training and support to develop your skills in specialist teaching methods.
The Role:
As an Unqualified SEN Teacher, you will:
- Support and deliver lessons to small groups and individual students
- Prepare learning materials and track student progress
- Encourage students to develop confidence, independence and key life skills
- Manage behaviour and provide a structured, supportive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, carers and colleagues
What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for supporting students with SEND - experience in an education or support role is beneficial
- Experience in teaching or tutoring
- A specialism in PSHE
- Experience working in an SEND environment or a similar setting
- A commitment to professional development - full training will be provided
