Set on a stunning woodland campus near the coast, this specialist provision supports pupils across all key stages with autism and additional learning needs. With incredible on-site facilities including a forest school, bike trails, a swimming pool and outdoor classrooms, the school creates a therapeutic, engaging and student-centered learning experience.


 

Your Role Will Involve:


 

  • Leading lessons and maintaining a positive learning environment in the absence of the teacher
  • Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups with personalised, differentiated learning 
  • Promoting academic engagement, emotional development and confidence
  • Encouraging participation through creative, inclusive teaching methods
  • Managing behaviour using a trauma-informed, therapeutic approach 
  • Working as part of a committed multidisciplinary team


 

We’re Looking For Candidates Who:


 

  • Are enthusiastic, confident and passionate about SEN education
  • Have teaching or classroom leadership experience (formal QTS not required)
  • Can adapt to different learning styles and behavioural needs
  • Understand phonics-based learning (experience with Read Write Inc is a bonus)
  • Are calm, patient and committed to helping every student succeed
  • Have excellent teamwork and communication skills
