Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the main point of contact for all service-related inquiries and concerns from customers
- Assist customers with scheduling service appointments, and ensuring their vehicles are serviced in a timely and efficient manner
- Communicate with technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and timely completion of repairs
- Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicles and any necessary repairs
- Provide accurate estimates and communicate any additional services or repairs needed to customers
- Handle customer complaints and ensure they are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Maintain thorough and accurate records of all service transactions and customer interactions
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends and new service techniques to continuously improve our service standards
- Collaborate with the sales team to promote and upsell service packages to customers
- Ensure the service department is clean, organized, and equipped with all necessary tools and supplies
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college or technical training in automotive repair is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Service Advisor in the automotive industry
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to handle difficult situations with professionalism
- Solid understanding of automotive systems and terminology
- Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Proficient in computer skills and experience using automotive service software
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Working Conditions:
The Service Advisor will work in a dealership environment, often standing for extended periods and may be required to lift up to 50lbs. This is a full-time position with flexible working hours, including weekends and evenings.
