Area Sales Manager - Control Valves (Power and Oil & Gas Sectors)
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Area Sales Manager to lead our sales activities in the Power and Oil & Gas sectors within a defined territory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in control valves and a proven track record of driving sales growth through direct customer engagement and management of agents and distributors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve set budget targets and sales KPIs as annually defined
- Develop and maintain strong customer relationships within the assigned market, identifying key customer challenges that can be addressed with our product range
- Conduct regular customer and agent visits (minimum 3-4 days per week) to actively support sales in the sub-region
- Manage and implement sub-regional agent strategies to drive additional sales
- Support initiatives to grow the business within and, when necessary, beyond the assigned area of responsibility
- Promote and execute portfolio selling of our product range
- Focus on dormant plant activation and replacement of competitor products in the sub-region
- Ensure compliance with all company processes and procedures
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field (MBA is a plus)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably in control valves for the Power and Oil & Gas industries
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing market share
- Strong understanding of control valve applications and technologies
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, agents, and distributors
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
