Business Development Manager

You will take responsibility for driving sales performance, managing customer relationships, and contributing to the commercial direction of a UK-based manufacturing operation supplying into the aerospace sector.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Driving sales growth through structured account management and new opportunity development
  • Managing customer relationships from initial contact through quotation, negotiation, and order completion
  • Preparing and submitting commercial quotations aligned with pricing strategy and margin expectations
  • Leading and supporting contract negotiations with customers
  • Working cross-functionally with Engineering, Operations, and Finance to deliver customer solutions
  • Ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction through consistent communication and follow-up
  • Contributing to wider commercial strategy, including pricing approaches and market development
  • Maintaining accurate records and forecasts using internal systems

 

What You Bring

  • Experience in sales, business development, or account management within a technical or manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to manage customer relationships and negotiate commercial agreements
  • Strong understanding of pricing, margins, and commercial risk
  • Confident communicator, comfortable working across multiple departments
  • Organised and self-sufficient, with the ability to manage your own workload

Experience within aerospace or a technical engineering sector is advantageous but not essential.
