A leading global manufacturer is seeking an experienced Export Logistics Manager to take ownership of their international logistics operations. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing organisation that is driving engineering innovation across multiple continents.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient, compliant, and cost-effective export of goods to global markets. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all export logistics functions, ensuring accurate and timely global shipments
- Prepare and verify export documentation in accordance with customs regulations, Letters of Credit, and company procedures
- Ensure full compliance with international trade laws, Incoterms, and export controls
- Manage stock allocation and shipment processing in line with SOPs
- Coordinate with freight forwarders, couriers, customs brokers, and third-party logistics providers
- Track and monitor shipments from origin to destination, maintaining accurate data in ERP and logistics systems
- Build strong working relationships with customers and supply chain partners
- Collaborate with internal departments including manufacturing, sales, finance, and quality assurance
- Negotiate rates and terms with logistics providers to optimise cost and service levels
- Continuously assess and improve logistics processes for greater efficiency
- Train and support team members in export procedures and compliance
Candidate Profile:
- Demonstrated experience in export logistics, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong working knowledge of Incoterms, customs regulations, and export documentation
- Experience managing exports across EMEA and North America
- Proficiency with ERP systems and logistics software
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and a proactive, accuracy-driven approach
- Competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure
- Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English, grades A–C
