Role Overview:
As the Head of International Sales, you will lead the International Team, creating and executing a sales strategy to secure profitable business in designated overseas territories. This full-time remote position offers the flexibility to work from home while being part of a collaborative and innovative team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans for existing and emerging customers and sectors in line with the Company’s 5-year strategic plan.
- Work to annual sales budgets and targets.
- Formulate and execute a dedicated business strategy for international markets, including researching and identifying new business development opportunities. You will also develop and maintain account plans for major international customers.
- Prepare tenders with the assistance of product specialists and tendering resources.
- Produce monthly sales forecasts and reports.
- Gain client approvals and specifications for projects.
- Participate in regular performance discussions and annual appraisals.
- Ensure compliance checks on customers, agents, and distributors.
- Conduct reviews with internal teams to improve communication and performance.
- Coordinate sales activities with regional offices and support exhibitions and customer events.
Team Management:
- Lead, inspire, and motivate the International Team.
- Manage team performance through setting and monitoring objectives.
- Ensure accurate and timely forecasting.
- Identify and address training needs.
- Monitor resource requirements and participate in workforce planning.
Is this you?
- Electrical background is essential.
- Previous experience in African markets is required.
- Proven experience working with government utilities within African markets.
- Strong, proven sales background.
