I am recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established manufacturing company based in Wigan, for a Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional to play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of production through effective maintenance and repair of equipment.
The Role:
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on plant and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical faults independently and as part of a team.
- Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks.
- Assist with breakdowns as required.
- Utilise Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) – SAP.
- Work efficiently, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to safety standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement.
What My Client is Looking For:
- Qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 through a time-served Electrical Apprenticeship.
- At least four years’ experience in a maintenance environment.
- Ability to perform basic mechanical tasks and interpret engineering drawings.
- Working knowledge of PLC systems (Allen Bradley/Siemens).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Experience using Microsoft Office and maintenance software (SAP).
- Flexibility to work outside standard hours when required.
