Job Title: National Account Manager
- Salary £65,000 + Bonus

Job Summary:
70% of the earth’s surface is covered by water, only 1% of water is readily available for human use. 97% of water is either salty or otherwise undrinkable and the rest 2% is available in the form of ice caps and glaciers. The National Account Manager role will be responsible for overseeing critical accounts for this business and growing them strategically and inline with the businesses national objective. The successful candidate will also be responsible for supporting and attending sales meetings with more localised sales representatives. The focus of this role will be growing their infrastructure clients. The value of the accounts that the candidate will come into is approximately £500,000 annually with aspirations over the next few years of growing this to £2m per annum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy: This role will be aiming to work alongside key accounts in specific territories and growing them into national operating accounts
- Self-Management: Autonomy is a critical aspect of this role, being able to self-manage and self-motivate will be an everyday occurrence in this role
- Building and Managing Customer relationships: Build and maintain long lasting relationships with customers and understand their requirements. As there requirements may vary it is critical that all customers are treated with diligence to fully understand their requirements
- Supporting the Regional Sales teams: A large amount of this role will be attending sales meetings with the regional representatives to support them and ensure that they close deals
Skills and Competencies:
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning skills, in this role you will be responsible working out and defining the best course of action to grow and expand accounts
- Negotiation: Negotiation with clients will be an everyday occurrence. Being able to negotiate effectively whilst ensuring quality for the customer and margin for the business is a crucial part of this role. You will negotiate independently
- Communication: Due to a diverse customer base excellent communication skills are imperative. There will be a need to deal with customers who are operating at a national level so the ability to communicate across different echelons is crucial.
- Analytical: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and make data-driven decisions. It is important with this role to observe market trends and make proactive decisions based on them.
- Customer Focus: Deep commitment to customer satisfaction and experience in fostering long-term client relationships.
- Experience: The ideal candidate will come from a background of either water or pumps however technical sales experience will be considered
- Sales Track Record: You will need a strong sales background with a proven track record of successful account management on a national scale
