Project Pursuit Manager
UK & Ireland (Field-Based) | £76,000–£87,000 + 20% bonus + £6,000 car allowance
We are partnering with a global leader in industrial automation to appoint a Project Pursuit Manager to drive must‑win, strategic Final Control projects across the UK and Ireland. This role is ideal for a consultative sales professional who can influence complex stakeholders and shape long‑term project outcomes.
You will focus on winning large, strategic capital projects within the process industries, including chemical, oil and gas, power, and other energy‑intensive sectors. Your remit will be to position a market‑leading automation and pressure management portfolio as the partner of choice on complex projects, working closely with end users, EPCs and other key stakeholders across the UK and Ireland to secure specification and maximise long‑term revenue opportunities.
The Opportunity
- Lead strategic project pursuits identified through a UK Top 25 Project list and cluster sales teams.
- Play a key role in securing Final Control opportunities, supporting long‑term growth in pressure management solutions.
- Work cross‑functionally with global pursuit teams, project management, sales and technical specialists to maximise bookings.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply consultative selling techniques to manage complex project pursuits from early identification through to award.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key technical and commercial sponsors on customer side and internally.
- Develop and execute pursuit strategies using customer business analysis, risk mitigation and communication planning tools.
- Coordinate internal and external resources, including executive sponsors and local partners, to secure project wins.
- Facilitate customer meetings and ensure smooth transitions from FEED to EPC stages.
- Lead early‑stage commercial negotiations, providing competitive technical and commercial input into proposals.
- Prepare and present executive review materials and perform detailed internal proposal reviews prior to submission; lead proposal reviews with customers.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in pursuit sales and winning complex project business (capital equipment, automation, or similar).
- Strong ability to develop customer relationships and present techno‑commercial proposals with credibility.
- Solid understanding of business drivers, commercial negotiations and customer decision‑making processes.
- Flexibility to travel across the UK and Ireland, with a valid driving licence.
- Desirable: process automation industry background, and familiarity with consultative selling and project pursuit methodologies.

Package & Benefits
- Base salary: £76,000–£87,000 (experience dependent).
- Annual bonus: 20%.
