Quality Control Specialist
Location: Marietta
Remuneration: Up to $1000,000 + pension + health + dental + PTO

The Role:

As a Quality Control Specialist is an individual contributor, responsible for driving quality operations. You will focus on quality issues, implementing corrective actions, carrying out root cause analysis and improving manufacturing processes. As a stand alone role, we need somebody who is motivated, ambitious and can translate failures into actionable achievements.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspections on both incoming and outgoing materials using measuring equipment such as CMM, height gauges, thread gages, callipers, micrometres
  • Utilise Optical CMM to analyse dimensions for verification
  • Produce quality reports and identify trends that require corrective action
  • Create test procedures, test reports, failure analysis and document packages
  • Support the Quality team in the choice of tools, providing suggestion to optimise work
  • Produce Non-Conformance Reports (NCR)
  • Carry out internal audits as well as supporting external customer and certification audits (ISO 9001 etc)

Your Background:

  • Strong background in a Quality role within an industrial manufacturing setting
  • Ideal to have an understanding of pump manufacturing, fluid handling or heavy industrial
  • Be able to read and interpret technical specifications, engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
  • Extensive use of Inspection Equipment such as CMM, micrometers, thread gauges, calipers and precision measuring devices
  • Ideal to have a degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing or related field
