We have been exclusively retained on this exciting career opportunity. This role is all about growth and getting the Senior leadership team aligned and optimal. You will have a strong commercial background and desire to develop into a Manging Director. Managing a multi-million pound long established profitable business you will have the support of a major Private Equity Group behind you. You will be coached/supported and work closely with the Group CEO to ensure you are fully educated on products, customers, procedures, and the long-term strategy!
Our client is a niche manufacturer of engineering products with applications throughout construction, water, capital equipment, marine, transport, mining, Distribution, and wholesale and many more. They pride themselves on their product excellence, outstanding manufacturing capability and quality of service. You will be part of a major multi-billion PE leadership team. This will give you great mentorship, cross selling opportunities and involvement in all global business decisions and have full P&L accountability.
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Take full responsibility for profitable growth: development of an annual sales strategy / forecast.
- Management of the senior leadership team, sales, production, engineering, supply chain,
finance
- Ensure company sales, margins, costs are achieved.
- Build and maintain customer relationships with key accounts as well as involved in business development for big ticket Capex projects
- Ensure sales teams are performing to full capacity – training, development and recruitment.
- Monitor staff performance to ensure objectives are achieved.
- Ensure commercial support to the materials, engineering and quality functions.
- Management reviews and appraisals.
Experience required:
- Forward thinking, dynamic and proactive.
- An inspirational leader, good motivator of people and able to influence culture and positive change.
- A proven track record of commercial leadership; either operating successfully as a Sales Manager or Commercial Leader, understanding of manufacturing, finance and operations the ability to become Managing Director
- Proven track record in building profitable sales of a technical engineered product, involving high level negotiations.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, MBA preferred.
- Extensive General management and leadership experience
