- Field Based role – Visiting customers 3-4 days a week, work from home 1-2 days a week.
Our client is a leading and innovative company in the lighting industry, renowned for its market-leading components, wireless control solutions, and emergency lighting products. As they continue to expand, they are seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to drive business growth and shape their future success.
The Role:
As Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and executing business opportunities within both existing and new customer bases. You will be responsible for:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive business development strategy aligned with company objectives
- Conducting market research and analysis to uncover growth opportunities and industry trends
- Driving sales initiatives from lead generation to order closure, achieving revenue targets and building a robust sales pipeline
- Managing a portfolio of OEM customers from day one, with clear targets for retention and growth
- Cultivating strong relationships with key clients, partners, and stakeholders to maximise upselling and cross-selling opportunities
- Preparing persuasive proposals and negotiating contracts that align with both company and client needs
- Collaborating with product management, marketing, and operations teams to deliver compelling solutions
- Representing the company at industry events and trade shows to build valuable contacts and gather market intelligence
- Providing regular reporting and forecasting to the Sales Director on performance and future opportunities
Requirements:
- Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development or sales management, ideally within the lighting or related sectors
- Deep understanding of the lighting market and the ability to identify business opportunities and market gaps
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills, with a history of closing significant deals and partnerships
- Exceptional communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal
- Highly analytical and data-driven approach to decision-making
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, supplier visits, and industry events
The Package:
- Up to £70,000 Basic, DOE.
- 20% Bonus (Performance driven)
- Car Allowance (£550/Month)
- Pension, holidays, internal incentives
