The Opportunity:
Are you a recruitment professional with a hunter mentality? Do you excel at building relationships and opening doors with new clients? Mercury Hampton invites you to take a lead role in our business development efforts-starting with the UK and USA, and then expanding your impact across the APAC region.
Phased Regional Focus & Working Hours:
- First 6 Months:
- Focus on UK (morning, Philippine time) and US East Coast (afternoon, Philippine time) engineering and manufacturing clients.
- Work UK/US business hours to build experience, learn our consultative approach, and establish a strong client base with direct support from our UK-based directors and marketing team.
- After 6 Months:
- Transition to standard Philippine working hours.
- Shift focus to developing new business in neighbouring APAC countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, and Australia.
- Leverage your expertise to drive Mercury Hampton’s growth in the region.
What You’ll Do:
- Drive New Business: Proactively identify and engage potential clients in the UK and US (first 6 months), then APAC (after 6 months) within engineering and manufacturing.
- Client Outreach: Use email, LinkedIn, and follow-up calls-supported by our marketing manager and UK-based campaigns-to generate leads and set appointments.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with directors and join client calls as you learn our consultative approach.
- Account Mapping: Expand relationships within existing client accounts, identifying new departments and opportunities.
- Full Sales Cycle: Manage your pipeline from initial outreach to securing meetings and supporting the recruitment process for technical and sales positions.
- Leverage Technology: Utilise our marketing software for time zone-targeted outreach and our proprietary recruitment tools for client delivery.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: Proven background as a Business Development Manager or Senior Recruiter in the recruitment sector, ideally with a focus on engineering, manufacturing, or technical roles.
- Business Development: Demonstrable success in winning new clients and generating appointments.
- Communication: Outstanding written and verbal English skills, with the ability to engage senior decision-makers.
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated, ambitious, and able to work independently from the Philippines, managing your own schedule and targets.
- Team Player: Willingness to collaborate, learn, and grow with support from our UK head office and marketing team.
