Mobile Testing Solutions Ltd (“MTS”) provides examination services to a wide range of global clients across UK and Ireland and also have an online language school specializing mainly in IELTS exam preparation courses.

 

MTS is currently looking for an IT Technician - Support & Networking.

 

 

| IT Technician – Support & Networking

 

Job Details:

  • Full-Time (Mon-Fri, 9am-5pm, 35-hour working week 35 hours per week)
  • Salary: £27,000 to £32,000 p.a.
  • Role type: Fixed-term (12 months)
  • Location: Duties to be provided for venues in London (South West) and South West England
  • Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the UK
  • Start date: Immediate start
  • Reporting To: Exams Technology Manager

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Manage effectively a team of casual IT Technicians at different exams venues
  • Provide prompt Level 1 IT Support for existing exams in both preparation and operation
  • Monitor the network administration such as access controls, endpoint detection, patch management
  • Travel between MTS test venues as and when needed to support the day-to-day operation
  • Troubleshoot IT issues in line with MTS and partners/exam boards procedures & policies
  • Support and guide other MTS local IT technicians in line with MTS requirements
  • Prepare, Install, Run and decommission Pop-Up Examination sites
  • Resolve customer queries effectively with respect to hardware and software issues
  • Maintain an up-to-date IT equipment inventory at all times
  • Participate in IT Projects wherever needed
  • Work On Call as per roster during weekends

Person Specification: 

  • Diploma in IT, or equivalent
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support role
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in security management
  • Experience within the education or examination sector (desirable)
  • Thorough understanding of IT Systems, troubleshooting, computer networks and IT security
  • CISCO Network Knowledge (desirable)
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Customer Centric
  • Can Do Attitude
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
