Overview
We are seeking a motivated and capable Sales Team Lead to oversee our new outbound sales team. This role is key to supporting our strategic vision of connecting local and regional advertisers with student fairs, which range in size from 5 to 50 advertisers. We’ve run similar fairs for many years with great success, and are now looking to expand our offering across the full academic year. You will initially manage a team of four Sales Executives, ensuring team performance and accountability while contributing directly to the success of the sales function.
Responsibilities
- Team Management: Oversee an initial team of four Sales Executives, including their onboarding, training, performance evaluation, and, where necessary, performance improvement/offboarding
- Sales Strategy Execution: Implement and refine sales scripts, objection-handling frameworks, and follow-up strategies to maximise conversions
- Lead Sourcing Coordination: Guide the team in sourcing leads from local and regional businesses for each fair location
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on team KPIs, ensuring the team meets or exceeds revenue goals
- Client Relationship Management: Support the team in building strong relationships with local and regional advertisers to foster repeat business and referrals
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing and operational teams to align sales initiatives with overall company goals
- Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the sales process and implement solutions to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Qualifications
- Experience in outbound sales, preferably in a target-driven environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage and develop team members
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and support others
- Organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in spreadsheets, data-entry tools, and sales performance tracking software. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Zoho CRM or Salesforce a bonus
