Job Summary:
This position is responsible for pickup and delivery of product. This is for local deliveries within the State of Delaware. 

 

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Obtains daily work assignments from the Warehouse Manager.
  • Ensure compliance of N.K.S. Product Freshness and Quality Control Standards.
  • Maintains delivery paperwork in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Responsible for pickup and delivery of product to/from customer locations.
  • Must place product where required by customer.
  • Works under general supervision with a certain degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Maintains communication with warehouse and operation manager(s) as well as internal communication with sales team on a daily basis.
  • Expected to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • Performs all additional duties, as assigned.
  • Ensure loads are built and loaded accurately in a timely manner. Load and unload delivery trucks and ensure proper stock rotation in the warehouse on the trucks.

 Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED or two to four years related experience.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact positively and effectively with various types of people.
  • Must pass a DOT pre-employment physical and drug screen. 
  • Detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks and time to ensure completion of all daily projects. 
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and tasks. 
  • Valid class A CDL driver's license and driving records that meets with company guidelines. 
  • Beverage delivery experience preferred. 
  • Work with minimal supervision; willingness to learn; flexibility and enthusiasm for job. 

Language Skills:
Must be able to read, write and verbally communicate using the English Language. Must be able to communicate information and respond to questions (verbally and in written form) effectively with customers, company personnel, and suppliers.


Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding, interpret and carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. The ability to prioritize responsibilities and work effectively while dealing with a variety of requests throughout the day as well as the ability to recognize and solve customer problems that are related to the delivery and pick up of product.


Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, climb ladders and bend for extensive periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to maneuver in high, low, and tight areas. The job requires the use of hands, (to finger, handle, or feel) specifically for, but not limited to moving, loading and unloading product in and out of trucks. The employee must lift and/or move or push/pull up to 165 pounds. Must be able to maneuver up to 250 pounds with the use of a two-wheel dolly effectively. Specific vision and ability to adjust focus. Hearing and speech are also required communication skills.

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and typical of a warehouse environment and truck driving. Exposure to extreme temperatures, fumes, dusty conditions, outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions, and machinery with moving parts.
