Job Summary:

 

Delivering high quality and value-added HR service to align with N.K.S. Distributors, Inc. mission, vision and core values. Administers various HR functions including payroll processing, recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and compliance, ensuring HR operations.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strictly upholds the confidentiality of all Human Resources matters, employee information, and Company-sensitive data, ensuring compliance with privacy policies and ethical standards.
  • Processes weekly and bi-weekly payroll. Strongly prefer previous payroll experience.
  • Maintains payroll and time records within the HRIS and compiles/run reports. Strongly prefer previous experience with creating and running reports.
  • Conducts recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel, students, and temporary employees; conducts initial screening of candidates; schedules interviews with appropriate hiring management; assists with writing and placing advertisements and internal job postings.
  • Process pre-employment background checks, schedules physicals and drug screens. Completes new employee and exiting employee checklists.
  • Administers new hire onboarding, coordinates initial orientation/training schedule; creates and files personnel records.
  • Process and maintain DOT and NON DOT monthly random drug-testing.
  • Performs benefits administration to include claim resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.
  • Files and distributes all regulatory disclosures including, but not limited to the EEO-1 report annually and other required benefit disclosures; maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform with regulations and company policies.
  • Assists with processing and monitoring of workers compensation claims. Maintains files.
  • Administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company employees; assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; prepares and maintains employee handbook.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.  Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
  • Assists with the administration of performance evaluation program and revises as necessary.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
  • Attendance and punctuality are critical.  In-person, office hours: Monday – Friday from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm.  Occasionally, Saturday work may be necessary.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
