Event Security Supervisor
This summer, NVC Security is providing security and stewarding for a range of events across the Midlands and the rest of the UK. We are looking to recruit a friendly, organised, and confident Event Security Supervisor to lead a small team of security staff across various festivals and events.
Our events this summer include a variety of music festivals, sporting events, and large-scale public gatherings. With a packed schedule from approximately May to September, this role offers an exciting opportunity to gain leadership experience while working at some of the UK’s biggest events.

What the role will include:
Key requirements for the role will be to:
Lead and motivate a small team of event security personnel
Act as the lead representative from NVC Security, including briefing staff and liaising with event organisers.
Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a safe event environment.
Travel between different event locations as required – a full clean manual driving licence is required.
Confidently drive a company van or minibus to transport staff and equipment between event locations.
Delivering high-quality customer service while maintaining security standards.
Reporting and managing incidents in line with company and event protocols.
Use computer systems to manage staff rotas and communicate key security information.
React quickly to incidents, using strong problem-solving skills to resolve conflict or security issues in high-pressure environments.
Effectively multitask, ensuring security operations run smoothly while handling any unexpected challenges.
What we are looking for:
We are ideally looking for someone with at least 3 years of experience in event security.
Successful candidates must have an SIA licence in Door Supervision or Close Protection, must be fluent in written and spoken English, and must have a checkable work history for the previous five years.
A full clean manual driving licence is essential due to the nature of the role. Candidates must be able to confidently drive a company van or minibus to transport staff and equipment between event locations as needed.
Flexibility to consistently work weekends, evenings, and travel away from home overnight as required is essential.
Excellent time management skills, able to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong independent working skills, with the ability to take initiative and make decisions confidently.
Able to work effectively in teams, develop strong team loyalty, and have good observational skills and the ability to take initiative to act individually or collaboratively as needed.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional and confident phone manner.
A smart appearance with good personal presentation is essential to the role.
Ability to think on your feet and make quick decisions in high-stress environments.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with and manage a diverse team and foster a strong sense of loyalty.
To effectively integrate with our existing operations, candidates must demonstrate strong computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office. This will include data entry, document creation, and email correspondence.
Key requirements:
SIA Door Supervisor Licence (essential)
Proven leadership skills – ability to take charge and manage a team
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to handle incidents calmly.
Strong organisational and multitasking skills ensuring smooth event operations.
Good personal presentation – professional and approachable.
Comfortable working long hours, weekends, and traveling for events.
Proficient using online systems including Microsoft Office for reporting, rostering, and communication.
Experience in event security roles (ideally 3+ years)
Checkable work history for the previous five years in accordance with BS7858.
