OOKAMI is an esports and media company founded by spirited, no-pause gamers. We aim to simplify information and deliver it to the masses while it's still hot.
OOKAMI is currently looking for a writer who knows the ins and outs of Overwatch 2016 and Overwatch 2. The ideal candidate should have ample knowledge of the previous game, has played the open beta of Overwatch 2, and is in touch with everything happening in the community. Our primary focus is building in-depth guides about heroes and maps before the game's official release. The guides should help players in practice, but being active on Reddit and relevant communities is a plus!
You will work directly with the editors and will have creative freedom to jump on timely stories. Initially, we will provide you with topics and keywords, but a successful candidate should be able to hunt stories independently that have the potential to perform and generate numbers. Most importantly, in-game knowledge is a must; our editors will help with WordPress, formatting, keywording, and everything past the first draft. This could be a great learning opportunity for new writers.
Should Have:
In-depth knowledge of Overwatch 2 open beta
Deep understanding of maps and heroes
Plenty of play hours in Overwatch 2016
Responsibilities:
- Write thorough guides.
- Jump on trending topics in time.
- Active on Reddit and Twitter.
- Meet deadlines for publishing stories.
- Rates: $10 per article, depending on the length.
This is an entry-level job, and we are looking for candidates who understand the game. Prior experience isn't a must; we'd prefer writers who are new and are passionate to talk about their favorite heroes in Overwatch 2.
