About the role

 

At Penfold, we're passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and always putting our customers first and our Account Management team is at the heart of the business - we bring a real competitive advantage as we're instrumental to the proposition we sell our clients. 

 

We are looking for a hands-on Account Manager who can build strong client relationships that translates into winning more business. 

 

Your responsibilities:

  • Onboard Accountants, build strong long-term relationships by understanding their problems and offering tailored solutions
  • Upsell to Accountants, aiming to sign and onboard a stream of their clients through a series of tactics
  • Reporting on and achieving targets through upsell (clients signed, asset value)
  • Check in with clients regularly, conducting quarterly reviews and analysing client and campaign performance data to uspell
  • Scale Account management & sales processes to continue to deliver a 5* experience to all our clients as we grow
  • Work with product, marketing and sales team to share client feedback

 

About you:

  • 1+ years experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, Junior Account Manager or relevant role
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level
  • Customer-oriented: always two steps ahead understanding client needs, why they buy and their hesitations: turning problems into opportunities to provide a bespoke opportunity
  • Data-minded & strategic: can monitor and measure the success of initiatives and use data to guide the long-term strategy
  • Can also apply the high-level strategy to the ground level by coordinating cross-functional campaigns
  • Not afraid to get stuck in and get hands dirty
  • The ability to navigate and focus in a fast-paced environment, previous experience of doing this is a plus
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • BA/BS degree in, or equivalent experience

Our application process
• Screening interview (30 min) - short interview with the Hiring Manager to get to know you and assess your experience and skills

• Take-Home Task (1 hour) - to assess your strategic thinking and ability to identify opportunities for upselling 
• Task Interview with Hiring Managers (1 hour) - an opportunity to present your take-home task: 30 mins presentation and 30 mins of questions from Hiring Managers about your approach
• Culture Interview (30 min) - you’ll meet other members of the team to find out more about what it’s like working at Penfold

 

Salary £40-£50k base based on experience, not including performance based target on top.
