The role
We’re looking for a creative, self-starting Content Strategist (preferably with experience in finance or fintech) to help us roll out and scale our content marketing strategy and provide individuals and businesses alike with everything they need to feel good about their pensions.
As Penfold’s Content Strategist you’ll report to the Head of Brand Marketing and you’ll be tasked with developing engaging and value-adding content to build our brand awareness and convince customers and business alike to sign up with Penfold. You’ll be responsible for devising the content strategy and calendar for the business – ticking off key elements we already know our audiences want and need, whilst delivering creative, innovative content that cuts through with our audiences and generates interest in Penfold.
You’ll work closely with our Editorial Content Lead to translate our written content for new audiences, channels and formats. You’ll also be responsible for liaising with external partners and our in-house studio to bring content to life in new, exciting ways. As part of the role, you’ll devise and execute our social media strategy to infiltrate online personal finance, finance and HR communities and get Penfold noticed.

Our Office
We’re a remote first business although we have a large private office at Uncommon Borough, a large co-working space full of other awesome tech startups and more plants than a garden centre.
As part of our creative team, we will need you to spend at least 1 day per week in the office with the rest of the team to ensure effective collaboration and opportunities for creative ideas to flourish.
Uncommon has their own exercise studio for free weekly Yoga and HIIT classes, a discounted office masseuse & beauty squad, monthly drinks & Tuesday teatime, bike racks, showers, an excellent café, and a whole bunch of communal spaces you can work from when you need a change (including a roof terrace).
We’re 6 minutes walk from London Bridge station & Borough Market (and 30 seconds walk from Borough station).
Our application process
We’ll have a very quick introductory call to properly introduce you to Penfold, find out more about your experience so far and career aspirations, and make sure you get a chance to ask any questions you might have.
Then they’ll be a [take-home task / role-play exercise] so we get a better feel for how you work. And finally, we’ll organise a session with one of our Co-Founders and a small group of people from around the business.
