About the role

We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager, initially to lead our cross-functional workplace product team, building SaaS and internal tools to help modernise the tricky workflows of managing pensions. You’ll be accountable for all aspects of the product development lifecycle, working closely with product design, engineering, and various stakeholders around the business.

You will:

• Lead the workplace pension product team and be responsible for product strategy
• Set the pace; we’re a start-up and have a serious bias for action
• Be responsible for continuous discovery workstreams
• Run generative research initiatives to deeply understand our customers
• Set metrics and analyse data to surface opportunities
• Frame and map opportunities to inform prioritisation decisions
• Lead the horizontal slicing of larger initiatives to reduce time-to-value for customers
• Be accountable for predictable delivery and ongoing management of the product
• Support other product people with your breadth of experience across the whole product development lifecycle

About you

You will have:

• Demonstrable experience of discovering and delivering successful products with measurable impact
• A deeply customer centric mindset
• Confidence in using data to inform a broad range of decisions
• Worked with highly autonomous/accountable teams
• Experience working with a continuous product discovery approach
• Navigated complex product challenges
• A passion for helping people save more later in life

Ideally you have previous experience…

• Building SaaS or internal tools
• In fintech
• In start-ups or scale-ups

Our application process

We’ll have a 45 minute introductory call to properly introduce you to Penfold, find out more about your experience so far and career aspirations, and make sure you get a chance to ask any questions you might have. 

The next stage would be a 90 minute technical exercise/task which is done over a video call at a time that suits you.

Finally, we’ll organise a session with a Founder, and a few team members, so that you get a chance to meet some of the team and get a sense of the people you’ll be working with on a day-to-day basis and to ask them questions directly.
