Role Overview
The Sales Manager that will be based in Athens, is responsible for leading the Client Accounts team, executing strategic initiatives, and driving revenue growth. This role involves managing key client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and optimizing sales performance. The ideal candidate will oversee sales operations, coach account executives, and leverage data-driven insights to enhance the company’s market position.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy Execution
• Develop actionable sales strategies aligned with revenue targets and growth objectives.
• Drive sales efficiency through pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking.
• Identify opportunities to optimize sales methodologies and improve team productivity.
2. Client Portfolio Growth & Management
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term partnerships.
• Lead upselling, cross-selling, and contract renewal initiatives to maximize revenue.
• Identify market opportunities and provide strategic input for client acquisition efforts.
• Negotiate high-value commercial agreements with a focus on long-term growth.
3. Account Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, mentor, and coach the account executive team to achieve and exceed performance goals.
• Monitor and evaluate individual and team sales performance, providing regular feedback.
4. Data-Driven Sales Optimization
• Utilize Business Intelligence (BI) tools (e.g., Power BI, Salesforce) to track KPIs, forecast accurately, and optimize sales efficiency.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Participate in regular meetings with the CCO to ensure alignment on business objectives and sales strategies.
• Work closely with Business Development, Marketing, and Product teams to align sales efforts with company objectives.
• Provide regular updates on market trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning to refine strategies.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in sales leadership, account management, or business development within the Digital Advertising industry. Sales experience within Digital Publishing media is a plus.
• Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead and develop high-performing sales teams.
• Strategic Thinking: Ability to translate business objectives into actionable sales plans.
• Analytical Abilities: Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Salesforce) for sales analysis and reporting. Strong analytical skills to assess client needs and identify opportunities, with experience in senior-level client management, keen attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize effectively.
• Communication: Excellent ability to manage key client relationships, convey ideas effectively, and engage stakeholders to drive business growth.
• Results-Driven: Ability to meet and exceed sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
• Financial & PM Awareness: Strong financial and project management awareness, including an understanding of client financials, invoicing processes, and the ability to multitask effectively.
