We're a Space-Tech company with teams in Ahmedabad, California and Bangalore on a mission to build the world's largest constellation of Synthetic Aperture Radar and AIS satellites for comprehensive ocean surveillance. As a Geospatial Analyst Intern, you will work with large geospatial datasets to uncover patterns and generate insights for various projects. You will primarily use Python and QGIS for spatial analysis, with the opportunity to explore satellite image analysis depending on project requirements. This position offers hands-on experience in analyzing complex datasets and supporting real world applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large geospatial datasets to identify trends and insights.
- Use Python for data processing, spatial analysis, and automation and develop scripts from data ingestion to mapping using python.
- Utilize QGIS for mapping, data visualization, and report generation.
- Collaborate with team members to develop solutions for efficient geospatial data analysis.
- Present findings through reports, visualizations, and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Remote Sensing and GIS or Geomatics Engineering.
- Proficiency in Python for geospatial data analysis and automation.
- Experience with QGIS for spatial analysis and mapping.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of remote sensing and satellite image processing (optional).
