We are seeking a motivated Power Electronics Engineer - Intern to drive the development of advanced Power System hardware solutions for space exploration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development of Electronics Power Conditioners for Synthetic Aperture Radar; schematic and layouts, based on system requirements and working with both internal team members and external vendors.
- Analyse and understand Satellite level Hardware Architecture; predict design performance using Simulation tools, Analytical Skills etc.
- Build and test electronics prototypes and final designs.
- Design of custom magnetics (transformers, chokes, inductors, etc.), Component selection based on system requirements.
- Safety critical design including design for EMC, fault mitigation, tolerance and stress analyses, reliability predictions.
- Thermal management of major heat dissipating elements in vacuum condition.
- Work along with PCB manufacturers and assembly houses to test the Hardware and find the Root Cause for Design failures.
- Collaborate with mechanical team, layout, and firmware engineers to successfully develop and validate the hardware designs.
- Active Participation in Design improvement meetups.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics or a related field.
- Experience in DC-DC converter design.
- Electronics theory, including component knowledge; analogue and digital circuitry expertise.
- ECAD software knowledge for schematics and layout design.
- Demonstrated ability to work hard, under demanding schedule.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Education:
UG: B. Tech / B. E. in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation
PG: Any Postgraduate in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation related subjects
