Materials Engineer - Responsibilities include:
- Conduct research on polymer / composite materials, including studying their properties, behaviour, and applications.
- Design and analyse polymer compositions and structures, including polymer blends, and composites
- Writing structured and detailed technical reports on material development and process development projects.
- Manage multiple projects
Materials Engineer- Knowledge, Skills and Experience Desired:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in polymer or composite industry.
- Solid understanding of polymer science, polymer chemistry, composites and material properties.
- Experience in high performance polymers like PEEK, PTFE, PPS is preferable.
- Proficiency in polymer processing techniques & Equipment’s, such as single screw extrusion, twin screw extrusion, injection molding, autoclaving, prepreging, coatings, and compounding.
- Experience with polymer characterization techniques, including thermal analysis, rheology, mechanical testing, and microscopy.
- Experience in tribology advantageous.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Polymer engineering and have relevant experience in a similar role. Chemical, Mechanical or Materials engineering disciplines
