Production Manager- Responsibilities include:
- Planning and projecting the allocation of labor using MS Project, Excel, and visual aids for the assembly team.
- Coordinating with the post-sales department for the handover and scheduling of tasks.
- Developing and organizing build schedules for equipment.
- Evaluating project and resource requirements.
- Estimating and negotiating timelines with internal project managers and engineering managers.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and enforcing them.
- Establishing quality control standards.
- Supervising production processes.
- Achieving builds within labor and cost budgets as set by production control.
- Managing stock levels and organization in the production department.
- Safely disassembling and packing equipment for transportation within production control.
- Proactively planning production space requirements and communicating conflicts to line management in advance.
- Planning and implementing facility utility upgrades to support upcoming build requirements.
- Managing staff under this position, including daily management, performance assessment, salary and bonus assessments, and disciplinary proceedings as necessary.
- Establishing, implementing, and adhering to documented, auditable, and efficient department processes and procedures.
- Ensuring adherence to all HSE regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by team members.
- Keeping abreast of industry regulations, restrictions, and laws to ensure compliance and stay updated on standards, innovations, materials, tools, and processes.
- Ensuring that equipment and system testing follows applicable regulatory standards such as cGMP and GAMP guidelines.
- Collaborating and communicating with the Engineering function to effectively interpret project requirements, including timing, testing, and completion.
- Understanding operational and functional requirements for scientific and healthcare product ranges and their construction to comply with relevant standards.
- Familiarizing oneself with mechanical hardware specifications and functional design specifications for projects.
- Utilising project support documentation and work instructions for production and contractor tasks.
- Troubleshooting complex process systems, fans, pumps, control valves, instrumentation, electrical and control systems, including those with PLC control and HMIs.
- Leading installation, site acceptance testing (IQ/OQ), and client training activities while understanding validation requirements and ensuring timely completion of documentation.
Production Manager- Desirables include:
- Prior experience within a production management role
- Proficient in understanding equipment writing and piping schematics.
- Skilled in interpreting 2D drawings depicting equipment layout.
- Capable of utilising test equipment for measurement and calibration purposes.
- Possessing relevant supervisory experience.
- Experienced in reading technical drawings.
- Skilled in identifying faults in electrical panels, circuitry, and pneumatics.
- Knowledgeable in testing, flow, pressure, calibration, and the operation of equipment.
Schedule- Monday-Friday 37.5 Hours
