Production Technician- Responsibilities include:
- Collaborating with the Production Team to meet production demands for metal powder
- Ensuring the safe loading of raw materials into the induction furnace
- Melting, pouring, and atomizing metal alloys
- Thoroughly cleaning the atomizer and its components
- Utilizing a programmable logic controller (PLC) to operate the atomizer
- Performing scheduled maintenance tasks
- Replacing crucibles in the furnace as needed
- Managing consumable products related to production
- Setting up and operating powder processing equipment, such as sieving and blending machines
- Testing powders using sieves and other laboratory equipment
- Maintaining a tidy and well-organized workspace while promoting safety practices
- Operating an overhead crane
Production Technician- Desirables include:
- Experience within industrial/manufacturing operating environments
- A mechanical, technical knowledge and ability
Experience in equipment maintenance - Good verbal and written communication skills
- Pro-active mind-set with the ability to work autonomously where required
- Confidence to work at height
- Computer literate
- Lean Manufacturing
- Fork-lift (Counterbalance) licence
- Operation of PLC controller types
- Metal melting experience
Schedule- Monday-Friday 42.5 Hours
