Job Description:
This is an Anchor Software Engineer position within the Cross Business Unit (XBU) Data Hub product team, responsible for leading the rest of the software engineers on the team in the identification, development, maintenance and delivery of solutions meeting the business goals for the GTS Hub application. This Anchor position will be in charge of being the voice of the customer, facilitating agile ceremonies and designing the solutions (from a business and technical perspective) to support a variety of growth initiatives and vehicle programs.
GTS Hub is a pass-thru application that has capabilities to receive, validate and transform order data (from vehicles built in one country or business unit and sold in another) and send it to downstream systems for tracking and invoicing purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Represent the voice of the user throughout the product life cycle, maintaining a user-centered approach for designing the IT solutions.
- Lead research/analysis and requirements development for assigned product and features.
- Responsible for understanding, documenting, and sharing business processes and integration points with other products both within and outside the portfolio.
- Deliver incremental value by defining clear outcomes and goals and measuring key results, following agile processes.
- Help partners understand our iterative development and delivery approach, and to differentiate between must have and could have requirements.
- Collaborate with product team and product owner to deliver the solution or enhancements per the prioritized product backlog, differentiating between must have and could have requirements.
- Lead the design and development of IT solutions using innovative thought process; develop application code and execute test scripts to validate that code meets business requirements. Perform and participate in technical inspections and load/volume testing as required.
- Work collaboratively with enterprise and technology teams to manage/update/execute technical roadmap.
- Facilitate team stand-ups, iteration and release planning and other agile ceremonies.
- Manage work products and backlog in Rally, delivering appropriate sizing, definition, development and documentation of business capabilities in short time-boxes.
- Deliver frequent releases of incremental functionality into the product.
- Creation of Unit Test Case documents and perform Unit Testing.
- Ensure code quality and adherence to Ford standards during coding.
- Maintain the technologies’ lifecycle according to company policies and execute renewals / upgrades as corresponds.
- Create / update application documentation according to development.
- Support on-going production software operations and troubleshoots production issues.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Software development experience (4-5 years minimum)
- Strong J2EE coding experience (3+ years)
- Experience in development of object-oriented business applications using SpringBoot, Java, MicroServices, Angular, Gradle, RabbitMQ, RESTful Services
- Unit Test Cases Automation (Junit)
- Familiarity with Oracle DB
- Strong Agile experience
- Experience as lead developer (1 year minimum)
- Strong Communication and organizational skills
- Experience with control version tools i.e. GitHub desirable
- Fluent English
Nice to have
- Knowledge on Google Cloud Platform infrastructure
- PostgreSQL database management experience
- Kafka / Pub Sub knowledge

Labor Hours: Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 6:00 pm

Salary: $41,300 to $63,300 MXN Gross Monthly
