Job Objective:
We’re growing fast and looking for a Software Engineer who could transition to Founding Engineer to lead teams.

Responsibilities:
- Own major product decisions and technical architecture.
- Ship fast and iterate based on real customer feedback.
- Build for enterprise scale from day one.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance applications, frontend and backend (we move where the product needs us).
- Collaborate with the founding team to define technical architecture and establish engineering best practices.
- Build end-to-end features with high standards of quality, speed, and scalability.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and efficiency in production environments.
- Contribute to the product roadmap by proposing innovative and scalable solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement processes.
- Prepare the engineering team to scale, including mentoring future hires.
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong command of at least one full technology stack (frontend + backend) with the ability to design scalable solutions.
- Knowledge of this stack: JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, Express/Hono, React/NextJs, Tailwind/CSS
- Intermediate-Advanced English (B2+)
- Experience in startups (software-first), YC backed, or big tech.
- Proven track record of applying best practices: testing, clean code, design patterns, documentation, CI/CD.
- Experience with relational and/or non-relational databases.
- Hands-on experience deploying applications to the cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure, or others).
- Solid experience with version control (Git) in collaborative environments.
- Builder mindset: passion for building, experimenting, and shipping fast.
- Strong communication skills and ability to thrive in a high-pace startup environment.
Nice to have:
- Previous experience in startups or as part of a founding engineering team.

Modality: Full-time, Contractor, Onsite in Mexico City
Salary: $3,000 to $4,000 USD net monthly
