An Automotive Painter will repair, prep, and refinish vehicles and bumpers to pre-accident condition according to the written repair order.
Job Responsibilities:
- Color matching and documentation of all vehicle, bumper, and small part jobs
- Assist writers in determining the most effective paint method application
- Make cosmetic repairs to minor defects in OEM, A/M, and LKQ parts and panels
- Final block and prep all repairs and adjacent panels in conjunction with the repair
- Assist the prep department with cleaning and masking all vehicles and bumpers
- Refinish using either solvent or water-based paint
- Apply high solids clearcoat to achieve OEM finish or better
- Denib and polish imperfections to acceptable condition
- Establish, maintain, and document spray booth cleaning schedule
- Clean and organize the mixing room
- Maintain and order inventory of paint and associated materials

Qualifications:
- Must maintain a valid CT state driver’s license and reliable transportation
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 5 years minimum spray experience
