RotaCloud is a fast growing technology company based in the heart of York, providing rota management software to hundreds of thousands of people across the world.
We’re looking for a proactive and pragmatic candidate to join our growing team as a Customer Onboarding Specialist. You will be responsible for ensuring customers are successfully onboarded onto the RotaCloud platform, helping them get their account set up and making sure they understand how the product works.
You will be interacting with customers every day by actively helping them set up their account, answering questions on how RotaCloud works, and helping resolve any issues they face. We offer full training and support to get you up to speed with the RotaCloud product so you’re confident when it comes to helping customers.

Skills
- Experience working with customers to help solve their problems in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills - you need to be confident on the phone, a competent writer and speedy typist, with the ability to explain complex topics in easy to understand and concise language
- Ability to build a rapport and relationship with the customer to open communication lines and build trust
- A genuine enjoyment of technology: you don’t have to be a tech whizz, but are curious about how things work and want to learn about new products
- Strong organisation and time management skills, with an ability to balance a varied and fast-paced workloads
- Passion for talking to customers all day, every day with a genuine aim to help them and demonstrate the benefits of our product
- Ambition, enthusiasm and the desire to learn and improve upon your own skills
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with potential customers from their initial interest in RotaCloud to the end of their trial period. Most of our support is done via live chat and email, but you'll also be talking to customers over the phone or video chat
- Own communications and issues from initial contact until resolution, making sure our customers are getting the most they can from RotaCloud
- Become an encyclopaedia of knowledge about how RotaCloud works, what it is capable of, and proactively keep up to date with changes to the product as it develops
- Call interested and trialling customers via phone or video chat, answering any questions they have in a friendly and knowledgeable manner as well as offering suggestions as to how they can get the most of the product
- Logging improvements and issues with the product and development team, ensuring the customer is kept up to date on progress where relevant
- Help influence the direction of RotaCloud, the product. Talking with our customers on a daily basis makes you the eyes and ears of our business and we value your input as we shape the future of RotaCloud
Full time hours:
- You will be working 9am-5pm Monday to Friday during your training period
- After you have completed your training, you’ll be working 40 hours per week
- You’ll be working 8 hour days with a one hour paid lunch on a fixed shift pattern between the hours of 8am-6pm, Monday-Friday only. Nothing after 6pm and no weekends!
