Assistant Manager at Safeguard Self Storage
- Position: Assistant Manager
- Deliver exceptional customer service by identifying and addressing customers' needs and concerns, offering solutions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist in the sales and marketing efforts to generate new business and maintain high occupancy rates by exploring different sales opportunities and providing superior customer service.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to implement effective marketing strategies and develop relationships with local businesses to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
- Perform daily operations such as managing rental agreements, creating invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate and organized files and records.
- Conduct routine inspections of the storage facility to ensure cleanliness, safety, and security standards are met.
- Assist in managing the inventory of merchandise, including ordering, receiving, and stocking shelving and displays.
- Support the Store Manager in managing staff performance, training, and scheduling to ensure a high level of teamwork and productivity.
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot any facility or customer-related issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures and ensure that all federal, state, and local laws and regulations are followed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or retail sales.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in business administration or related field preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
