    Position: Assistant Manager

We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager to join our team and help us deliver the best experience for our customers.

    Position Overview:

    As an Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in the overall success of Safeguard Self Storage. You will assist the Store Manager in daily operations, customer service, and sales to maintain excellent service standards and achieve sales targets. You will also be responsible for assisting with administrative and managerial tasks, ensuring the safety and security of the facility, and maintaining a clean and organized storage environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by identifying and addressing customers' needs and concerns, offering solutions, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Assist in the sales and marketing efforts to generate new business and maintain high occupancy rates by exploring different sales opportunities and providing superior customer service.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to implement effective marketing strategies and develop relationships with local businesses to increase brand awareness and drive sales.
  • Perform daily operations such as managing rental agreements, creating invoices, processing payments, and maintaining accurate and organized files and records.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the storage facility to ensure cleanliness, safety, and security standards are met.
  • Assist in managing the inventory of merchandise, including ordering, receiving, and stocking shelving and displays.
  • Support the Store Manager in managing staff performance, training, and scheduling to ensure a high level of teamwork and productivity.
  • Proactively identify and troubleshoot any facility or customer-related issues and implement appropriate solutions.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures and ensure that all federal, state, and local laws and regulations are followed.

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in customer service or retail sales.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in business administration or related field preferred.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
