The Business Analyst at Secure Self Storage serves as a critical link between our IT capabilities and our business objectives by supporting and ensuring the successful completion of analytical, building, testing and deployment tasks of our software product's features.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Defines configuration specifications and business analysis requirements.
- Performs quality assurance, ensures solutions meet business needs and requirements.
- Maintains, organizes, and streamlines operational and reporting processes.
- Analyzes complex business problems and assesses how automated systems can be implemented to solve them.
- Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives based on both end-user needs and a thorough understanding of business systems, applications, and industry requirements.
- Operates as a liaison between technical personnel and the appropriate end-user department.
- Develops and performs tests on systems and modifies tests as necessary.
- Provides technical guidance concerning business implications of application development projects.
- Identifies and communicates risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or an MBA.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis or a related field.
- Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- The ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions.
- Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- The ability to create detailed process maps and write detailed specifications.
- Excellent documentation skills.
- Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
- Familiarity with business information systems (BI).
- Experience creating detailed reports and giving presentations.
