Principal Accountability & Responsibilities
As a role of a Primary Consultant
1. Administrative:
1. Provide onsite and offsite support for setting up K-12 schools from the feasibility stage to year zero. Work in close coordination with the SEL team to develop the 30-year feasibility plan.
2. Discuss the project management agreement and scope of services document with the AC for proper planning and execution of the school contract.
3. Ensure that documentation of the required school related policies for SEL is in line with the services offered as per the design brief.
4. Provide infrastructure plans for the development of learning spaces.
5. Ensure smooth transition from one Primary Consultant to the other in the event of change of guard or change of role (from AC to PC). Proper handover to be done as per checklist.
6. Provide support in designing, planning, reviewing of the infra design drafts and ensure that the infrastructure of the school is as per required standards and in line with SEL Infrastructure Policy.
7. Support in providing and customizing the curriculum to cater to local needs
8. Support in screening and approving of the teaching faculty and conducting Continuous Professional Development for them
9. Plan and support the AC in the development of the yearly calendars – Trainings, Visits, Meetings
10. Develop and review policies, handbooks and other communication material.
11. Ensure effective roll out of the school management systems, implementation of Operations’ policies and smooth implementation of ShriConnect
12. Coordinate and liaise with other SEL support processes and the school for providing them Marketing, HR, IT, Finance and Administrative support
13. Enable and empower the school team for the APC [Annual Planning Cycle]
14. Guide schools towards meeting the projected student numbers for Project viability
15. Walkthrough of the Project Management Agreement and Scope of Services with the Associate consultant
16. Deliberate and detail control points for the year in advance and review the same with the line manager at the end of the year.
2.School:
1. Enable schools in the planning and development of the curriculum of study.
2. Support schools in the planning and development of the lesson plans (Year Plan and Monthly Plans)
3. Support schools in identifying staffing needs, screening and approving of the teaching faculty and conducting continuous professional development for them.
4. Ensure that the schools are continuously updated on the developments pertaining to the respective board or curriculum.
5. Ensure that all our schools have updated publications regarding the curriculum they offer.
6. Ensure that the schools are continuously updated on best practices in India & across the world
3.Curriculum development:
1. Review student results to support planning and execution of teaching strategies in coordination with schools.
2. Research, initiate and ensure constant development of curriculum documents such as the, course outlines, handbooks, scheme of works, lesson plans, workbooks, question banks etc.
3. Guide and support the schools in developing administrative and academic policies.
4.Training and development:
1. Contribute to the induction of all new employee at SEL in terms of explanation of the curriculum on offer, operational functioning and scope of services
2. Develop the yearly professional development calendar in close coordination with the school and the AC.
3. Coordinate and conduct professional development sessions for the teaching staff.
4. Support the schools in developing an induction program for new teachers to the school and new teachers to the program.
5. Support schools in conducting workshops and orientation program for the teachers, students and parents.
5. Self – development:
1. Participate in training programs organized by the office.
2. Upgrade existing skills to support the demands of the role
3. Keep oneself informed on the latest pedagogy, best practices and new trends in the education domain.
4. Identify and participate in professional development opportunities.
As a role of an Associate Consultant
1. Administrative:
1. Work in collaboration with the Primary Consultant in all required areas.
2. Ensure customization and implementation of the school policies in line with the requirements for each project.
3. Coordinate SEL tasks as defined in the APC [Annual Planning Cycle] of the school.
4. Be responsible for all communication and liaison with the school.
5. Maintain a record of all communication, forms, documents and reports of the school.
6. Update all academic administration documents in the common folder every month.
7. Record and distribute all necessary information regarding the school to process heads at SEL.
8. Develop and review policies, handbooks and other communication material.
9. Support the PC on program and curriculum development for schools.
10. Conduct monthly review of all processes and document findings for the operations’ meeting.
11. Coordinate SEL tasks as defined in the APC [ Annual Planning Cycle] of the school
12. Plan and circulate yearly visit calendar in advance.
13. Deliberate and detail control points for the year in advance and review the same with the line manager at the end of the year.
14. Ensure timely documentation of Visit Reports, Monthly Review PPTs etc., and monitor that all school related tasks and process is done on a regular basis.
2. School:
1. Ensure that appropriate books, resources, curriculum preparation documents are available to schools in a timely manner.
2. Ensure that all our schools have updated publications regarding the curriculum they offer.
3. Ensure that schools have information to current lower secondary, IGCSE and IBDP developments wrt to international curriculum.
4. Plan and execute student exchange program in close coordination with schools.
5. Coordinate SEL subject expert support to the school after ascertaining the need of the school in consultation with their school counterpart.
6. Coordinate between SEL and the school to ensure all auxiliary support through information technology, marketing, human resource, finance and administrative department.
7. Add value and enrich student /teacher learning through explorative engagement and experiences.
8. Conduct demos and micro teaching sessions at schools to enhance and enrich teachers’ classroom transactions.
3. Curriculum development
1. Maintain and analyze record of the student results to plan teaching strategies in coordination with schools.
2. Research and develop curriculum documents such as the course outlines, ppts, handbooks, scheme of works, lesson plans, question banks, workbooks etc. for own’s subject.
3. Support the schools in developing administrative and academic policies.
4. Manage timelines for all resource people involved in design of curriculum.
5. Coordinate with the quality checking resources to ensure that the curriculum is in line with the set expectations.
6. Collaborative learning and teaching sessions to strengthen teacher competency and confidence
4. Training and development
1. Contribute to the induction of all new personal at SEL in terms of explanation of the programs on offer and operational functioning.
2. Develop the yearly professional development calendar in close coordination with the school.
3. Coordinate and conduct professional development sessions for the teaching staff.
4. Collate the training needs identified during lesson observations and interactions with the teaching faculty.
5. Support the schools in developing an induction program for new teachers to the school and new teachers to the program.
6. Support schools in conducting workshops and orientation program for the teachers, students and parents.
7. Create Domain related training modules to use at SEL Schools to strengthen pedagogy.
5. Self – development
1. Participate in training programs organized by the office.

3. Keep oneself informed on the latest pedagogy, best practices and new-trends in the education domain.

Job Function: School Operations
Age: 30 - 45 Years
Experience: More than 10 years of teaching experience in a school environment (From Grade I - V). The job requires travelling in India.
Qualification: BA, B. Ed, PG with Specialization in English.
Preference: For candidates who are staying in and around Gurugram. The office is located in Sector 50, Nirvana Country, Gurugram.
