- Job Title: Hospital Cleaner
- Responsible for cleaning and disinfecting patient rooms, nursing stations, operating rooms, restrooms, and other areas in the hospital according to established standards and procedures
- Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, carpets, and upholstery
- Collect and dispose of garbage and clinical waste in a safe and timely manner
- Sanitize and restock supplies in patient rooms and common areas
- Maintain cleanliness and stock levels in designated storage areas and utility rooms
- Assist with the setup and breakdown of hospital equipment as needed
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe and hygienic environment at all times
- Report any maintenance or facility issues to the supervisor
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines while handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Work collaboratively with the housekeeping team to ensure efficient and timely completion of tasks
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure their needs are met promptly
- Attend training sessions and workshops as required to enhance job performance
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment and chemicals
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, and lift heavy objects for extended periods
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
- Good understanding of infection control practices and protocols
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
- Knowledge of basic computer skills and the ability to use a tablet for work-related tasks.
