As an experienced professional with 5 years of experience or more, you are comfortable working with a global team and have excellent communication skills. Your fluency in English will be crucial for effective collaboration with our team. You are proactive in problem-solving and are always looking for ways to improve the product and the development process.
About the Role
In this full-time remote role, you will be a key contributor to the development of our Career Services Management system. This platform is being built for a large university in Singapore to help students and alumni with their career development. You will be reporting to our Singapore HQ while working closely with a team of developers based in Europe.
This is an opportunity to make a significant impact on a product that will shape the future of career services for thousands of students. You will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle, from conception to deployment, in an agile environment.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining user-facing features using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
- Translating design mockups and wireframes into high-quality, responsive web pages.
- Collaborating with the product and design teams to define and implement new features.
- Writing clean, reusable, and efficient code and libraries for future use.
- Optimizing applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Integrating with backend services and APIs using Axios and managing state with Redux and redux-thunk.
- Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge with the team.
- Working with Firebase for backend-as-a-service functionalities.
Skills and Attributes we are looking for:
- 5 years or more of experience.
- Proven experience as a Frontend Developer with expertise in Next.js and React.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript.
- Experience with state management libraries like Redux and redux-thunk.
- Proficiency in styling with Tailwind CSS.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and libraries like Axios.
- Familiarity with Firebase services.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in Ukrainian is considered a strong bonus for this role.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed team. Ideally, you are located within the GMT+0 to GMT+8 time zones to ensure optimal overlap with our Singapore and European teams.
