In this role, the successful candidate Performs clerical and support activities necessary to assist in laboratory operations and all areas of specimen receipt and registration. Serves as a communications resource and facilitates transfer of information both internally and externally. Assists medical, nursing, and administrative staff to meet unit, department and institutional goals. Clerical support.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a High School or GED. Good communication (both oral and written), organization, detail oriented, and customer service skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office especially Word and Excel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate s Degree Business or related field. 1 - 2 years Related experience. 1 - 2 years Coding/billing/registration/insurance. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to utilize company and laboratory computer systems for either registration and/or accessioning.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

HEALTH INSURANCE
The city offers employees medical insurance through United Health Care. There is no Primary Care Physician (PCP) required. You have the option to choose one of the following plans: United Health Care Choice Plus EPO (co-pay) or United Health Care Choice Plus HSA (high deductible plan).
FLEXIBLE SPENDING OPTIONS
Flexible Spending Accounts (Health Care and Dependent Care) allow the employee to pay for certain un-reimbursed health expenses and dependent care expenses on a pre-tax basis. Health Care Flexible Spending account is limited use when combined with the United Health Care Choice Plus HSA. City of Fulshear will contribute $3100.00 annually to your HSA plan (amount contributed is prorated based on start date).
DENTAL INSURANCE
The City offers employees dental insurance through Guardian. This plan is unique in that it allows you to choose any licensed dentist for covered services and the plan pays at the reasonable and customary rate until annual maximum. We offer a base plan as well as a buy up plan which would include child orthodontia coverage.
VISION
The City offers vision insurance through Guardian. Guardian Vision plan offers benefits for eye exams, frames and lenses or contact lenses.
LIFE INSURANCE
The City provides a $25,000.00 life insurance policy to all full-time employees which includes an accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) through Guardian . Additional voluntary Guardian life insurance and AD&D options are available for employees and their families.
LONG TERM DISABILITY
Long Term Disability is funded completely by the City and is intended to help continue your income if you become unable to work due to illness or injury.

EAP services are provided through Alliance Work Partners. AFLAC
Employees have the option of enrolling in AFLAC as a pre-tax benefit. The City does not cover any deductible, copays, or premiums associated with this benefit.
TEXAS MUNICIPAL RETIREMENT SYSTEM – TMRS
The City of Fulshear offers a retirement plan through the Texas Municipal Retirement System. The City of Fulshear's TMRS plan requires a contribution (made by means of bi-weekly payroll deductions) equal to seven percent (7%) of the salary of each regular full-time City employee. The City matches employee contributions on a 2 to 1 basis after the employee is vested at the time of retirement. Vesting occurs after five (5) years of employment. Supplemental death benefits are offered by TMRS, who will pay a one-time lump sum payment approximately equal to one year's salary based on the 12 months prior to death.
DEFERRED COMPENSATION
In addition to TMRS retirement, 457B plans are available. The purpose of these plans is to allow an employee to set aside a portion of his/her salary and receive its value at retirement.
