Allied Health Instructor at Special Friend Community Center

Job Summary
We seek a dedicated and knowledgeable Instructor to join the Special Friend Community Center team. The candidate must have knowledge of the subject area and demonstrate a passion for teaching and mentoring students. This role requires the ability to create engaging lesson plans, foster a positive learning environment, and assess student progress effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
• Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate discussions to enhance student understanding.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and projects.
• Provide constructive feedback to students to support their academic growth.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve instructional strategies and share best practices.
• Stay current with developments in the field of education and integrate new methodologies into teaching practices.

Experience

• An Associate or Bachelor's degree as a Medical Assistant, LPN, or Diploma in the relevant subject area is preferred.
• Previous teaching or instructional or clinical/hospital experience is highly desirable.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effective interaction with students and staff.
• Minimum two years experience in phlebotomy, EKG, IVs, laboratory procedures, OSHA, front office administration, and computer skills.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs.
• Proficiency in using educational technology and tools to enhance learning experiences.
