The Role:

We are looking for a talented and driven DevOps / SecOps Engineer to join our innovative software company. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the stability, security, and scalability of our systems and infrastructure. Collaborating within a dynamic team, you will integrate cutting-edge practices to optimize deployment pipelines, refine network configurations, and implement robust security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• DevOps Responsibilities:
  • Manage Proxmox, Docker, and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Automate deployment, monitoring, and scaling processes across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Manage infrastructure as code using tools like Ansible.
  • Design, develop, and enhance CI/CD pipelines with tools such as GitLab CI.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure reliability and high availability.
• SecOps Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain security measures, including firewalls, SSL certificates, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Perform regular security audits, vulnerability analyses, and penetration testing.
  • Architect and implement secure networks, including VLAN and VPN setups.
  • Enforce identity and access controls aligned with ISO 27001 standards.
• Collaboration and Documentation:
  • Partner with software engineers, product teams and operation teams to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, protocols, and workflows.
  • Share knowledge and mentor team members on DevOps and SecOps best practices.
• System Administration:
  • Manage network devices such as routers, switches, virtualized environments 
  • Manage devices based on our Steer solution.
  • Configure and maintain monitoring tools to ensure application and network uptime.
  • Implement DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions to improve network management.

Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Linux systems.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, VPN) and routing.
• Hands-on experience with programming and scripting languages like Ansible, Python and Shell scripting.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack, CloudStack, and container technologies.
• Expertise in security tools and frameworks, including SIEM solutions like Suricata, firewalls like pfSense or OPNsense, and secure deployment practices.
• Experience in VLAN configuration and network segmentation.
• Agile mindset and familiarity with Dev/SecOps methodologies.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cellular, Wi-Fi, or satellite network technologies.
• Expertise in setting up and managing bastion hosts and secure gateways.
• Knowledge of IPv6 implementation.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Maintain Elastic Stack cluster.
• CKA certification.
• Cloud provider certification.

• Location: Preferably based at our headquarters in Bordeaux with remote options available.
